Fundraising at the Videorama

The Videorama is a community‑run project powered entirely by its members. Every penny we receive is reinvested back into keeping physical media alive in Exeter — expanding our library, running regular events, and keeping subscriptions as low as possible so that borrowing films, music and players stays accessible for everyone.

Alongside this, The Videorama also raises money for local causes. A portion of all purchases from our shop goes directly into our annual fundraising initiative. For 2026 and 2027, we’re supporting the Play Equipment Fund for the Bramble Children and Young People’s Unit at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.

The Bramble Unit provides dedicated indoor and outdoor play spaces, run by a specialist play team. It is a wonderful facility, which provides a safe play space for children and their families to have some time away from the ward

It’s a truly wonderful space that gives children and their families comfort, distraction and moments of joy at difficult times.

The play space is already built, well loved and well used. As you can imagine, throughout the year play equipment needs replacing or repairing, which we hope to contribute towards.

So far in 2026 we have raised just over £100 for the Bramble Play Team. Come on down to one of our events and make a purchase to support this great space.

Thank you for helping us do good — and keep the magic of physical media alive.
